I’m planning to buy Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 and there’s a jap version and an asian version. What’s the difference between the two? Does it matter which one I purchase? And does it affect me playing either of them?

jap version is for ppl from japan. asian version is for the rest of asia.
