@grantsinmypants2 This would explain why so many exceptionally pretty girls go into modeling. It isn’t that they want to necessarily (although in their worst moments, the desire for what isnt deserved is why they do), but rather its a reaction to a conclusion: namely, that they’re imprisioned by their looks, will never be allowed to be anything except models, and so why waste the years when you still have your looks trying to be anything else? Make the best of a bad situation, basically.

What’s interesting is that even when they say things which are smart (or things which are dumb – like the shower – but which they know are dumb and so are just joking about)… even when this happens, all the guy has to do is give them that look and they lose their confidence.
The reason for this, I think, is that they expect people to expect them to be stupid, and so when they try to show that theyre not, the only possible explanation for why it didnt get conveyed is that it cant be conveyed.
