How tall must a runway ASIAN model be?
I know that there are "rules" that state that runway models have to be at least 5’9, but they usually mean generally across all races.
Caucasian models are generally bigger sized than asian models and i don’t think(most)asians can grow to be 5’9. So what is the height (and weight) requirement for an asian runway model?
(Actually,*haha*i am interested in runway modelling when i am older. I am 13, 5’4, and weigh about 90 pounds. As you can see from the question I am(have to be!) asian..

Okay, I’m so tired of these "model questions".About 99% of people who ask them , CANT model.I am a former pro model, I did runway ,commercials, catalogs, and more.
I am also a makeup artist and hair stylist for some agencies, and I have lots of friends who are agents, so I really know anything there is to know about modeling.
First, you need to understand how the modeling world works. This is a very harsh world. You have to have ALL of the requirements they are searching form otherwise, it’s goodbye.
It’s almost the same requirements in all kinds of modeling.the whole point of models is to look better than the average woman,so a model needs to be taller, slimmer, more attractive
have longer legs, etc..In shows like "america’s next top model" and all other modeling shows on TV, you can sometimes see that they make exceptions:they take shorter ,or fuller models. These
shows are NOT the way the real modeling world works. The real modeling world is extremely brutal, and there is only a 0.1 % chance that they will make a small exceptions. You may say "Oh, this woman is talking bul***t right now,
and there are people like ______________ that don’t have all of the requirements". It’s really NOT like that.Just because ______ got an exception, there is an extremely small chance that you will also get one.
So, here are all of the requirements:
You must be tall. To do ANY kind of modeling , you need to be at least 5"7.5 , and they will actually measure you. This height is considered extremely short, and you will get almost no jobs.To do runway/high fashion, you need to be
at least 5"8 , and high fashion is 10 times more brutal and strict than any other kinds of modeling, so again, you will get almost mo jobs with this height. It doesn’t matter if you are Asian, or black , or etc, the requirements for runway modeling are the same.
You need to have the body for it.This has to be very accurate. You cant be a size double zero/zero, but you also can’t be more than a size four.Your weight needs to be healthy for your height and age.You need to have a healthy Body Mass Index
You need to keep your body in shape.Eat healthy, and go to the gym frequently. You need to have extremely long legs, broad shoulders, and a long neck.
You need to have the face for it. As I already said, you need to look better than the average woman,so If they put you in a crowd of thousands of beautiful girls, you need to stand out and attract attention. If you get called "pretty",or "gorgeous", it
doesn’t automatically mean you can model. You cant have "girl- next door" beauty, you need to have very UNIQUE beauty. You have to have healthy , undamaged hair. You need to have straight white teeth, and your skin needs to be excellent:with no acne, large pores, scars,
rashes, stretch marks,or cellulite.Your face can’t be too long or too short, as those don’t photograph well. You must have medium to full lips.Your nose has to be "perfect" for your face, neither too small or too big.You must have medium to big sized eyes, they must be almond
shaped and slightly wide-set.
People always seem to think that modeling is so easy, glamourous, and cool, and that anyone who is tall, skinny, and beautiful can get into the business.
NO.People who think like this have NO idea how wrong they are. So,unless you have all of what I wrote above, modeling is not for you. Trust me ,I know what I am talking about,
I have seen thousands of tall, beautiful girls being laughed at by agents and then being sent home. That is a big disappointment.
