How do I get my dark brown Asian hair blonde?

I already ligtened it with a store kit (Clairol) and it is a nice brown on the top and fades back to black (my hair is really long) it looks awesome but I want to go lighter. Please don’t answer "go to a salon", I don’t have the money to do go, so I need advice as to what to buy and do at home! Thanks!
