a question about asian american women…?

I recently came back from taiwan with my fiance and we noticed something with asian women there. They seem to be more approachable, more willing to talk and make conversation. They're okay with dating men that may not necessarily be the most attractive man. But here in New York, SOME asian women tend to be a bit more picky, even women that may not be the most attractive. I have asian guy friends who get rejected by very average looking asian women. I feel they seem to want something more than what they should be getting. Anyone else notice this with asian american women?
of course not every asian american girl is like this its just compared to women in asia the ratio is higher here compared to there

I know what you mean. I actually admire the women who live in their home country. Race plays a big part in the dating world. Women who are in their country don't have to worry about race, there are plenty of fish in the sea for them. Asian American women are already facing the fact that they are of a minority and sometimes, race gets in the way. They are confused as to if they are going out with a guy purely because the guy is asian like them or if they are really in love with the guy. I don't know if this makes sense or not. Asian women in their country have more chances of opening up to love while Asian American women are limited and are therefore, more insecure.
